As an Aged Care Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse adult client base with varying needs in a residential Aged Care setting.
Your main responsibilities will include providing high-quality and evidence-based care, which includes conducting assessments and observations to create care plans for care staff management. This would also include assessment of falls risk and functional capacity. Another primary responsibility is the determination of the appropriate level of assistance required to mobilise and transfer the consumer safely. Some treatment & diagnostic interventions may be required occasionally.
You will work closely with your Allied Health team, family members, carers, nurses and the visiting General practitioner to facilitate a great outcome for the residents. To excel in this role you will need to exhibit excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
As a registered Physiotherapist you will have a minimum of 2 years clinical experience which ideally includes experience in Aged Care but not essential.
Requirements;
- Relevant qualification in Physiotherapy
- AHPRA registration
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Current Police Check
- Current drivers’ licence
- Current Covid Vaccinations
- Eligible to work permanently in Australia
- Indemnity & Public Liability Insurance
